To significantly enhance healthcare service quality and demonstrate its fruitful outcomes derived from medical innovation projects, Tri-Service General Hospital (TSGH) has in recent years aggressively pushed forward numerous medical R&D projects aimed at further advancing professional medical technologies. In year 2020, the Taipei-based military medical center was not only awarded 23 Symbol of National Quality (SNQ) awards but was also bestowed “COVID-19 Pandemic Prevention and Control Special Award” because of its outstanding COVID-19 related epidemic prevention and response achievements. The winning of 23 Symbol of National Quality (SNQ) awards and the “COVID-19 Pandemic Prevention and Control Special Award” represents that collective efforts by all armed forces hospitals of Taiwan’s military health system in contributing to healthcare services for patients under their care and in enhancing healthcare quality have been highly received and recognized by all sectors of Taiwan society. The awarding ceremony of the Symbol of National Quality (SNQ) awards sponsored by Institute for Biotechnology and Medicine Industry (IBMI) was held on Jan. 13th, 2021. Dr. Chih-Hung, WANG, Superintendent of TSGH led a team of awardees from the military medical center to accept the honor and recognition in person during the awarding ceremony.
