Medical Services Provided by this Department
The division plays an important role in prevention and management of infection diseases in military medicine. The Division provides inpatient and outpatient services. Most of the patients served were admitted via ER with acute illness or consulted by other subspecialists. The division stands a pivotal position in the modern health care system. Other service includes:
(a) The responsibility of diagnosis, notification and prevention of every kind of infectious epidemic diseases.
(b) Handling the nosocomial infection control affairs and education, to reduce and prevent the outbreak of nosocomial infection.
(c) Education on the optimal use of antibiotics and control of second-line antibiotics to reduce the overuse of antibiotics.
(d) Interpreting the microorganism test report.
