Represented by Major General TSAI, Superintendent of Tri-Service General Hospital (TSGH) and Colonel Nian-Zi, DAI, Director of Plastic Surgery Department, TSGH signed a cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Kinetic Concepts Inc. (KCI), represented by Ms. Eileen Yi, KCI’s General Manager for greater China and Southeast Asia Regions and Mr. You-Lai YUAN, Chairman of Progressive Group Inc. (PGI)-general and exclusive sales agent for KCI in Taiwan on July 24th, 2019. After the MOU signing ceremony, TSGH and KCI also jointly established the “Asia Pacific Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Center-APNPWTC” in the Taipei-based military medical center, the first and only negative pressure wound treatment and research center in Taiwan.

Missions of the Asia Pacific Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Center include: 1) improving wound care quality via close cooperation and partnership, 2) facilitating medical cooperation initiatives on wound care and research in Asia Pacific region, and 3) promoting education, training, and best practices development for wound care and management. Through the APNPWTC program, Tri-Service General Hospital aims to become the center of excellence of wound care, management, and research in the Asia Pacific region, to the benefits of patients, healthcare professionals, and the broader communities and societies TSGH serves.
