To spearhead AI-enabled smart health research projects and subsequently construct a comprehensive “Smart Hospital”, a TSGH delegation consisted of both clinical experts and administrative staffs led by Dr. Chien-Sung, TSAI, Superintendent of TSGH visit their counterparts of Quanta Computer and sign Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on smart health cooperation on March 11, 2020. TSGH and Quanta Computer will bring together their respective expertise and resources in medicine and technology to jointly initiate cooperation in the field of AI-enabled smart health technologies and applications.

Before the MOU inking ceremony, Barry Lam, Chairman of Quanta Computer in his remarks stated that in order to spearhead their joint strategic plans on smart health, both parties (TSGH and Quanta Computer) agree to initiate their cooperation with “AI-enabled & computer-assisted automated chest x-ray interpretation technology” as their first step in smart health cooperation. With the sharing and integration of talents and resources in the fields of medicine and AI technologies, both parties have high hope that their cooperation will contribute to the advancement and betterment of healthcare quality, to the benefits of both patients and clinicians.
