IFIA Best Invention Medal is awarded to greatest invention in the invention festival, competition and exhibition relying on the IFIA’s Jury evaluation of its novelty, inventive step, patent, potentiality to be commercialized, its benefit for the mankind and etc. Best invention medals are awarded in various events held under the patronage of IFIA. The International Warsaw Invention Show 2018 (IWIS) was sponsored by IFIA and was held on October 15-17 for the 12th annual in the Main Hall of the Warsaw University of Technology, inviting high-caliber medical research teams to showcase brilliant ideas and innovative inventions and solutions with tremendous potential in improving healthcare as well as patient safety.

Aiming to aggressively promote, nurture, and push forward medical research, development, and innovation, Tri-Service General Hospital (TSGH) has sponsored and encouraged medical technology R&D team led by Ms. Yu-Ling, Pan, Nurse Supervisor of TSGH Nursing Department to participate in and compete with fellow R&D teams from other countries in the 12th International Warsaw Invention Show held in Poland in 2018.

TSGH medical research team and competition delegation led by Ms. Yu-Ling, Pan, nursing supervisor of Nursing Department have won the highest honor in the annual competition hosted by International Warsaw Invention Show (IWIS) with their inventions on “Removable Two-in-one Protective Gloves” and “Insulin Injection Memory Pen” by outshining peer national teams from other countries and claiming the “Gold Medal”, “Platinum Medal”, and “Special Award” for TSGH research team’s innovation and inventions as well as their contribution to healthcare quality and patient safety.
