Title:Tri-Service General Hospital (TSGH) Has Unveiled the “Innovation Incubation Center” and Signed Cooperation MOU with Industry Partner-Acro Biomedical.

Inspired by the latest emerging trends of precision medicine and personalized medicine in clinical health care, Tri-Service General Hospital has established the “Center for Precision Medicine & Genomics-CPMG” in 2017 and further institutionalized the “Cellular Treatment Center” in 2018, in a bid to provide cutting-edge healthcare solutions to military service members and the civilians seeking healthcare services in the military medical center. Championed by lieutenant general Chen, Surgeon General of Defense and Director General of Medical Affairs Bureau, Ministry of National Defense and sponsored by major general Tsai, Superintendent of Tri-Service General Hospital, the military medical center has formally founded the “Innovation Incubation Center” with the center’s grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony. In the future, TSGH’s Innovation Incubation Center will gear its core missions towards innovative R&D conceptualization, clinical trial outcomes, adopting cutting-edge medical technologies in partnership with industry partners, and launching medical products and services from R&D effort, to provide the highest quality healthcare services to the general public and contribute to the well-being of the society.As part of the Innovation Incubation Center’s grand opening, TSGH has signed memorandum of understanding (MOU) on “Comprehensive Cooperation on Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine” with Acro Biomedical Company Ltd.-one of the industry leaders in Taiwan and also the first industry partner invited to partner with Innovation Incubation Center of TSGH.

Acro Biomedical has in recent years launched numerous medical products and solutions certified or approved for marketing by many countries, including Taiwan and the United States. Acro Biomedical has received certification of International Management System Certificate-ISO13485 as well as GMP management system approval for medical device from Taiwan FDA. Other than their cooperation project on artificial cornea currently in clinical trial studies, Tri-Service General Hospital and Acro Biomedical will in the near future will jointly initiate clinical trials on several cooperation projects in orthopedic and dental medical devices and products. Going forward, both parties look forwards to win-win outcomes from their mutually beneficial cooperation on medical R&D. TSGH also encourage and welcome more industry partners to join its Innovation and Incubation platform to pursue medical R&D projects which will ultimately benefit not only the medical ecosystem but also the much broader society.
