Guided by government’s international medical diplomatic policies to promote the military medical center’s international medical services, professor Chien-Sung, TSAI, Superintendent of Tri-Service General Hospital led a delegation consisted of senior leaders of TSGH to visit I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (MSMU) of Russia and delivered keynote speeches during the delegation’s visit in Moscow in June, 2019. Professor Anatoly Viktorovich SKALNY, Deputy Chairman of Federation of European Societies for the Study of Microelements and Minerals (FESTEM), has personally visited Tri-Service General Hospital on October 23rd, 2019 and bestowed Dr. Chien-Sung, TSAI a letter of appointment as an honorary International Medical Researcher on behalf of Dr. Philipp Kopylov, Chair of Precision Medicine Department of MSMU. The letter of appointment bestowing ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Anatoly KIRICHUK, Professor of Environment & Ecology Department, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia; Dr. Wen-Hui, FANG, Director of International Medical Service Center, Tri-Service General Hospital; Dr. Hong-Sheng, SHANG, Director of Clinical Pathology Division, TSGH; and other senior leaders of TSGH.

To support and push forward diplomatic and health policies of government, Medical staffs of Tri-Service General Hospital have actively participated in international medicine activities and projects in recent years to broaden and deepen TSGH’s footprint in the field of international medical services. Via medical cooperation projects between medical institutions of Russian and Taiwan, TSGH aims to strengthen and solidify its medical soft power to build up and enhance the Taiwan military medical center’s brand image of highly professional international medical services. At the same time, TSGH also looks forward to accumulate and strengthen its military medicine capacity to become the trusted guardian of health and well-being for all uniformed service members and civilian patients under its care.
