After a rigorous three-step process of application documents reviews, presentation reviews, and onsite audits by review committee members and experts of Research Center for Biotechnology and Medicine Policy (RBMP), thirteen medical teams of TSGH (SI YUAN Nursing Home, Cardiovascular Surgery Div., Thoracic Surgery Div., Nephrology Div., Cardiology Div., Emergency Medicine Dept., Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Dept., Radiation Oncology Dept., Neuro Surgery Div., Medical Record Dept., and The 25th Ward, Nursing Dept.) won one SNQ (Symbol of National Quality) Bronze Award and thirteen SNQ Certifications Bestowed by Research Center for Biotechnology and Medicine Policy (RBMP) in 2019, attesting and highlighting superb healthcare quality and innovative technologies of TSGH medical teams.

In recognizing contribution made by TSGH medical teams to the advancement of biomedical industry in Taiwan, President TSAI received Dr. Chien-Sung, TSAI, Superintendent of TSGH in person on Feb. 21st, 2020 and expressed her appreciations and approval for achievement by TSGH medical teams. During the course of reception, President TSAI stated that Symbol of National Quality (SNQ) awards are traditionally nicknamed “Oscar Awards of biomedical industry in Taiwan” and the fact that TSGH medical teams have won thirteen SNQ awards or certifications represents a great testament of breakthrough medical technologies as well as contribution to the advancement of overall healthcare quality of Taiwan by TSGH medical teams. Winning SNQ awards and certifications is both the highest honor and a stamp of approval to efforts and achievements of TSGH medical teams.
