On August 3rd, 2020, former TSGH superintendent Major General Chiang-Sung, TSAI and current TSGH superintendent Major General Chih-Hung, WANG took part in the change of leadership ceremony convened by TSGH and overseen by Lieutenant General Jiann-Torng, CHEN, Surgeon General of Defense and Director General of Medical Affairs Bureau, Ministry of National Defense. The change of leadership ceremony was conducted solemnly and smoothly.

During the course of the change of leadership ceremony, Lieutenant General Jiann-Torng, CHEN, Surgeon General of Defense and Director General of Medical Affairs Bureau, MND, highlighted contributions made by former superintendent Major General Chiang-Sung, TSAI during his term as the 28th TSGH Superintendent. Surgeon General CHEN also inspired and encouraged all TSGH staffs to actively implement hospital-wide strategic plans to ensure that TSGH teams will fulfil their mandate to be the guardian of health for military and civilian patients under the leadership of Major General Chih-Hung, WANG, the 29th TSGH Superintendent, based upon fine traditions of Taiwan Military Health System and guided by innovative thinking.

The 29th TSGH Superintendent, Major General Chih-Hung, WANG is a Class 83 (Year 1990) graduate of Medical School from National Defense Medical Center. Major General WANG’s clinical trainings and military assignments were comprehensive and complete. Superintendent Chih-Hung, WANG’s prior military and clinical assignments include Director of Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, TSGH; Director, Department of Medical Management, Medical Affairs Bureau, MND; Director, Department of Medical Readiness & Healthcare, Medical Affairs Bureau, MND; Superintendent, Hualien Armed Forces General Hospital; Surgeon General and Director General of Medical Affairs Division of Army; and Superintendent, Taichung Armed Forces General Hospital. Major General WANG’s clinical specialty is focused on otorhinolaryngology and he is an expert in diagnosis and treatment of otitis media, surgical operations for cholesteatoma, cochlear implantation surgery, diagnosis and treatment for the hearing impaired patients, vertigo, and hearing impairment for infant and child patients.
