Cardiovascular Surgery Division

        The Division of Cardiovascular Surgery provides service in cardiac transplantation，cardiac surgery and vascular surgery。Cardiac transplantation at TSGH are well-known in this country because the results are not only the most prominent in Taiwan，but in Asia，as well。Surgery for ischemic heart disease，rheumatic heart disease，congental heart disease，and aortic disease are also commonly performed at this hospital。In addition，the  Division of Cardiovascular Surgery also performs surgery for cardiac and aortic trauma，cardiac tumors，arrhythmia，constrictive pericarditis，and many other miscellaneous cardiac diseases。Surgery for vascular diseases include the following：abdominal aortic aneurysm、carotid artery disease、vascular trauma、portal hypertension、creation of access shunt for hemodialysis，sympathectomy for reflex sympathetic dystrophy and Buerger's disease，implantation of pacemaker for arrhythmia，Green field filter for prevention of pulmonary embolism，peritoneovenous shunt，and implantation of chemotherapeutic cather，etc...。
