The main service of clinical microbiology laboratory includes bacterial cultures (aerobe and anaerobe), fungi cultures (yeast and mold), and mycobacterial cultures (mycobacterium tuberculosis and non-tuberculosis mycobacteria). The objective of our service is to process specimens collected from infected sites and to identify any infectious pathogens in them. We also provide susceptibilitytesting results to clinician for appropriate medication with patients.

  In addition to traditional biochemical tests, we also have several advanced automatic detection instruments. These are including VITEK2 automatic identification system, BacT/AlerT blood culture system and MGIT 960 mycobacterium automatic detection system. All of them will provide rapid detection and accurate identification.

There are ten medical technologists in our laboratory. Seven masters and three baccalaureates are included. We are well knowledge and well educated. At all times, we efforts to improve the quality of the specimen management, to perform every procedure with standard methods, to provide appropriate reports to clinicians rapidly and to communicate with clinician favorably. We insist the spirit of CAP to improve our quality constantly and to provide the best service to the clinician and patients.
