The TSGH toxicology laboratory of clinical pathology division is concerned with applying "state of the art" techniques to the analysis of blood and urine for drugs and chemical poisons. It also has a major interest in the investigation of the relationship between such findings and the signs and symptoms of human toxicity following acute or chronic poisoning or abuse drugs.

The laboratory was designated as a poison center in 1992( renamed as toxicology laboratory of clinical pathology division), and got the certification from DOH in 1999.Specialist laboratory services that are provided include: 

	Clinical Toxicology (laboratory diagnosis of poisoning)
	Confirmation for Drugs and Substance Abuse
	Trace Element Monitoring
	Forensic Toxicology
