Back pain is a common symptom with many possible causes, including due to muscles, ligaments, nerves, or intervertebral discs, causing discomfort, pain, and a reduced quality for patients.

The Neurosurgery Department of the hospital has introduced a new therapeutic module: The smart electric current field combined with ultrasound two frequencies simultaneous therapy (BRH) (shown as Figure 1). The technology uses a patented algorithms to combine electric field stimulation with the energy of ultrasound. BRH uses a constantly changing electric field stimulation to make the tissue arrayed in the treatment area stay loose and avoid a biological barrier. The energy of ultrasound can constantly and effectively reach the focal loci to treat the affected area while it passes through. Such a combination can effectively enhance the treatment effect of ultrasound, accelerate the repair of injured tissue by stimulating the angiogenesis, and enhancing the restoration of micro-circulation.

A new hope for pain relief

Fig 1: Smart electric current field combined with ultrasound two frequencies simultaneous therapy (BRH): Combining consecutive ultrasound and the electric current field for application on the affected area. Two frequencies and strengths matched with each other change along with the treatment process showing a better pain relief effect.

Pain therapy application:

Shoulder and neck, back pain, hand and plantar fasciitis.

Therapeutic strategy:

BRH uses the combined stimulations of the patented electric field and ultrasound to recover blood flow of injured ischemic tissue. Each treatment time is 20 minutes. Only 24 treatment courses are required to maintain long-term pain-relieving effects.

Clinical efficacy of BRH:

Immediate effects

  • More oxygen and nutrients delivered to the cells.
  • Accelerates the progression of the inflammation sta.
  • Relieves swelling and suppression.
  • Relieves tightness and pain.

Long-term effects

  • Accelerates angiogenesis.
  • Accelerates collagen production.
  • Soft tissue repair.
  • Injured tissue repair, and no more pain signals generated.

Conclusions:

More than 200 patients have been treated by BRH therapy to date without any wound infection or discomfort after surgery, reflecting that the therapeutic module is highly safe and allows the medical team to effectively manage possible issues.
